Winter Golf Tips

Below are a few easy tips to improve your swing and shave strokes off your game while stuck indoors during the cold months!
Pre-Swing Tip- Setup
    • Check your foot positioning and shoulder alignment. Your feet and shoulders should be aimed parallel to the target line or (where the clubface is pointing). It may feel like your body (feet and shoulders) are aimed 30 yards left of the target when positioned correctly at address.
    • Check Forearm position. The right arm should be slightly under the left at address (For the R-Handed Golfer) which helps square up the shoulders. If the reverse is true (right arm higher than the left), your shoulders may be too open causing an out-to-in swing path. This leads to a slice in most cases.
    • Check grip. When gripping the club at setup, make sure you see 2-3 knuckles of the left hand (For the R-Handed Golfer) and maybe one knuckle of the right hand. This will give you a nice neutral grip. Feel as though you are gripping the club mostly in the fingers and not in the palms.
